CHURCH VISION CASTING GATHERINGS..
(What is this?)

This is a presentation/feedback time lasting less than 90 minutes that focuses on what we need to do as a church family to grow closer to God, each other, and numerically. It is the same material Council met about on their Vision Casting Saturday, July 10, last month. It deals with what we need to prioritize to be a significant church for Jesus not just in 2011, but ten to twenty years from now. We have some solid foundations, but we need the majority of church members to be united on the basic building blocks and offer some discerning "tweaking", especially on timing. Please, please, please, sign up to come to one of the three already scheduled Vision Casting Gatherings. We'll do a fourth one if none of these dates fits your schedule. The material is the same for all of them, so just come to one. They take place on:

  1. Sun. Aug. 1 from 1:30-3 p.m.
  2. Wed. Aug. 4, from 6:30-8 p.m.
  3. Sat., Aug. 21, from 10:30-noon.

WE NEED YOU TO COME TO ONE. THANKS!!

WANTED:

A part-time person to lead our LCC(children) on
Wednesday evenings and in summer activities.
This paid position will take approximately 2-3
hours per week to start. If you are interested
in applying for this position, or know someone
who is, please see Dorie Sanders or Sarah Shiflett.

Our Blessings Go With Jamez.

We have very much appreciated the relationship we have had in so many ways with Mr. Jamez Dudley as our Choir Director over the past months. He is now off to other pursuits, and we hope he does well. Our choir has a three week break right now during August, but when they return, our beloved member, Pat Ballington, will be leading our choir as Director until he makes us find someone else.

NOTE OF INTEREST:
Church Flowers:
Just to remind you, there are
several options for flowers and
all are equally beautiful and
acceptable:
-Order two vases as in the past
-Order one arrangement to be
placed on the piano
-Use silk flower arrangements
-Bring flowers from your garden

Let the office know date, and
information for acknowledging.

Inquirers/New Members Class...

You may or may not want to be a member of St.
Paul's Lutheran Church. We believe it is
Biblical to be a member of some visible Christian
Church. If you think the Holy Spirit is leading
you to St. Paul's, then come an inspire first. Our
next class is on Saturday, August 7, from 9:30
until noon. Dress very casual and come to the
church parlor via the church office door. We'll
have some coffee and donuts too. Pastor Bucky
can answer any questions you may have ahead of
time. You can call him at 761-8955.
